How VI Heists Sources GTA 6 Facts
Short answer
Every fact on VI Heists links to the source it comes from, with the date we checked it. Rockstar's own trailers, screenshots and site come first, then press previews and videos we watched frame by frame.
Where the facts come from
Rockstar Games first: the official trailers, the Extended Look, the screenshots and character pages on rockstargames.com/VI, and the Newswire. These carry the Official status.
Then hands-on press previews (Game Informer, IGN) and creator breakdowns of official footage, such as TGG's frame-by-frame analysis. We watch the videos ourselves and cite the timestamp-level source, not a summary of it.
Part of the vehicle, weapon and character database comes from community databases (gta6heists.com, GTABase, GTA 6 Hub, GTA BOOM), used with their owners' permission and credited on each entry. Entries those sites could not trace to official media, such as leaked footage, are left out.
What each status means
- Official: shown or said by Rockstar Games.
- Press preview: reported by journalists who saw the game or a presentation.
- Seen in gameplay: visible in official gameplay footage, but not described by Rockstar.
- Community reported: spotted or named by players in official media, not confirmed by Rockstar.
- Unverified: a single report we could not confirm. Shown only when it is clearly labelled.
- Outdated: true once, replaced by a newer announcement. Kept so old claims can be checked.
How pages stay accurate
Every page shows the date its facts were last checked. A page's update date only changes when its content does, so the date in search results means something.
When two sources disagree, both stay on the page, side by side, with what each one says. A number with no source does not go on the site, and nothing is guessed to fill a gap: open questions are listed under Still unknown.
Pages are drafted with AI assistance from the cited sources, and each fact is checked against its source before it is published. When a newer source contradicts a page, the page is corrected and its check date moves.
